Schools revenue funding settlement for 2016 to 2017

Today I am announcing details of school revenue funding for 2016 to 2017. My announcement includes the dedicated schools grant (DSG), the education services grant (ESG) and the pupil premium.

UK Transport Minister opens new £7 million search and rescue base at Prestwick Airport

UK government Minister of State for Transport Robert Goodwill opened a new £7 million coastguard search and rescue (SAR) helicopter base at Prestwick Airport during a visit to Scotland today (17 December 2015).

Welsh search and rescue charities awarded £230k by UK Government

Two Welsh search and rescue charities have been awarded almost £230,000 in funding from the UK government to improve safety across Wales’s waterways, coastlines and mountains, it was announced today (29 January).
The Severn Area Rescue Association in Monmouthshire and the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association in Conwy were awarded £221,046 and £6,000 respectively to purchase

FCO announces over £1.5m in life-saving equipment to Syrian rescue teams
