Economic Secretary to the Treasury Harriett Baldwin, today (15 December) announced that more than five million people will be able to sell their annuity from 6 April 2017, as the government outlined plans to extend its landmark pension freedoms and create a new secondary annuity market.

£1.9 million pounds of improvements planned on the A38 at Dry Bridge, Rattery

Overnight road closures on the A38 will be needed between Friday night and Monday morning to allow Dry Bridge, which carries an unclassified local road over the A38, to be safely dismantled.
Project sponsor Mike Hillier said:
On Saturday night the bridge will be demolished and dropped onto a specially constructed timber mattress on the road below.
