Northampton pair ordered to pay over £700 for illegally poaching fish

Krzysztof Mozdzen and Grzegorz Wojciechowski were each fined £105, ordered to pay costs of £256.94 with a victim surcharge of £20. Forfeiture of their equipment and fish was also approved by the court.
Environment Agency Fisheries Enforcement Officers were patrolling the River Severn at Deerhurst, Gloucestershire overnight on 12 July 2014 as part of Operation Stone

M6 junction to close for weekend as £4.1 million project nears completion

The Highways Agency scheme at junction 26 of the M6, which links the motorway to the M58 and A577, will see an extra lane added to the northbound side of the link road between the M6 and the A577 Orrell Road.
An extra lane is also being added to the end of the southbound exit slip

UK submarine industry to benefit from £285m investment in successor programme

The release of funding for the design work is within the existing Successor programme’s £3.3 billion Assessment Phase. The funding forms part of the MoD’s commitment to spending £163 billion on equipment and equipment support over the next 10 years to keep Britain safe. That includes new strike fighters; more surveillance aircraft; hunter killer submarines;

£50 million armoured vehicles fleet support contract awarded

The 5-year contract will safeguard 100 jobs, and covers an array of design services including safety advice and elements of operational effectiveness for light, medium and heavy armoured vehicles.
It also combines a number of existing support contracts into a more efficient and effective contracting agreement, saving taxpayers’ money.
