Homebuyers save hundreds of millions from stamp duty reform

Over 780,000 homebuyers saved an estimated £657 million on Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) in the year since the tax was reformed, the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne announced today.

Royal Navy’s newest sub test fires torpedo using £50 million UK-made advanced Combat System

UK risks losing £2m modern art sculpture

Development underway for troops returning from Germany

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has started work on brand new single living accommodation at Duke of Gloucester Barracks in South Cerney for the arrival of 2 army squadrons returning from Germany.
The £8 million project will provide 90 new bedrooms at the barracks for Junior Ranks and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.

£3 million investment planned for A194 (M)

Contractors for Highways England are resurfacing almost 4 miles of the northbound A194 (M) from where it leaves the A1 (M) at junction 65 to the Whitemarepool junction, the equivalent of nine football pitches.

Chancellor announces OBR forecast alongside the Spending Review
